Finally ? Hollywood?s Coming Around On Female-led Superhero Films | New York Post

Marvel Studios has released ten films thus far none with a lady out front. Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) is the closest thing to a lead, although shes still a supporting player to Captain America and the rest of the male Avengers. A few months ago, Marvel head Kevin Feige was asked why the studio hadnt released any female-led films. I think it comes down to timing, which is what Ive sort of always said, and it comes down to us being able to tell the right story, he told Comic Book Resources . I very much believe in doing it . . . It can certainly be done. I hope we do it sooner rather than Kim Kardashian later. Gal Gadot as Wonder WomanPhoto: Warner Bros.
